The service tech was rude. He made a point of blaming me for the failure of my unit every few minutes. I have enough intelligence to know that a dirty filter would not cause a drain pan to fail. I had to raise my voice in anger to let him know I wasn't having that. I should have asked him to leave! I will NOT be using Nice again!
He explained everything he was doing step by step and was familiar with the all in one system I have.

1)hvac diagnostic 2) client said outside unit is not coming on I confirmed system is cooling at this time and capacitor is still healthy I also noticed outdoor fan motor is amping higher then normal and advised to get motor replaced, client will wait until motor fails again to make a decision. 3)Job complete.
1)hvac diagnostic 2) client said that drain pan fell off to side and caused all the water to drain out of the pan I asked client when the last time he changed his 1 inch filter he said last year every one inch filter should be changed every 30 days to have proper airflow otherwise system will freeze up causing the water damage, client is aware of conditions and will like to get a second opinion. 3)Job complete. Left filter out.
Refrigerant levels are in good standing, evap coil are 0% impacted, blower wheel is 100% impacted, filter is a old EAC and has strong air restrictions, outdoor coils were rinsed and cleaned off, amps or compressor and capacitor are in good standing. UV light bulb is also still operating This option is the least expensive option that would safely address what we were called out for.
Basement blower wheel needs to be serviced, air filter was 100% impacted, evap coil did not have any debris on fins, expansion tank is needed if hot water heater is not being replaced. Filter in return grill for the second unit was 100% impacted, blower wheel and evap coil were 0% impacted
Customer explained that system would not heat or cool, only blowing room temp air. Upon arrival found system tripped on low pressure lockout. Connected gauges and found standing pressure is 24psig. System is nearly flat on r410a refrigerant. System will need to be recharged and have electronic leak search performed to determine cause of leak. Also found that inside of air handler is coated with a layer of dust. Evaporator coil and blower assembly will need to be chemically cleaned. System was installed less than a year ago. Customer is going to contact installing company and home warranty company to see if repairs are covered under warranty. Highly advise that customer join Comfort Advantage Club to keep up with maintenance, satisfy manufacturer warranty requirements, receive 15% off of repairs, avoid service fees during normal business hours and receive priority service.
Teflon treatment 1)tune up 2) I checked for proper delta t and confirmed system is fully operational I advised to do Teflon treatment to ensure all coils are clean, client authorized repair. 3)Job complete, left thermostat off per clients request.
Wire on capacitor was not pushed down all the way therefore it was not allowing the system to reboot or operate
Everything that is worn and questionable or enhancements to upgrade the system. System is running efficiently just needs system enhancements to protect the unit and power surge and water protection no expansion tank for the hot water heater customer said it was installed through home warranty
Cooling safety inspection and maintenance, water heater maintenance Turned the thermostat to coil in then dropped the temperature to 60f, replaced the air filter then flushed the condensate drain line, verified condensate pump operation then inspected the blower assembly, the blower assembly 40% dirty advised the client to have clean the blower assembly. Flushed the gas water heater then checked for gas leaks, Cleaned the condenser coil, inspected the capacitor, the condenser fan motor and the compressor. Checked the refrigerant pressures and final cycled. Job complete.
Heat tune up I check the mini split remote and started my tune up. I made sure everything was okay and that there was heat and cool. The filters are clean and I check the temperature for supply and return both of them are good. I then check the outside system and made sure the amps were good. Everything was good to go the system is running in great condition.
Heat tune up on oil furnace checked amps checked blower wheel and filter checked pistons checked checked cap for blower motor. Advised customer to have turbo cap replaced for blower motor because is weak and also have blower motor cleaned. Couldn’t get ahold of wife to confirm. So will schedule in a later day. Cycled system checked DT system working normally at this time
Heat tune up and fireplace safety inspection I check everything for the furnace the pure air uv was out and the client went ahead and order it but will wait next month once he has the money. The furnace was good to go had no major problems. I then check the fireplace and the fireplace needed new embers and a full tune up of cleaning. Client said he will move and doesn’t want to do anything for the system.
Fall Tune Up Upon Arrival Smell of wet rust was coming from the filter area Metal tape was covering the filter which was extremely dirty The blower wheel had a lot of dirt and debris on it The capacitor was below its point of operation Evaporator coil were extremely rusted out Inspected the supply/return temperature The pipe connecting to the inducer was leaking water inside of the system which caused corrosion through the system
Full fireplace tune up x2 cleaned and dusted fireplace logs and cleaned glass. Replaced embers and cleaned pilot assembly. Checked for gas leaks and CO non detected cycled system a couple times. Basement logs are cracked advised customer to have them replaced to avoid operation failure.
